Software Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer - Real Time Development (PD1813)
Develop leading edge Voice over IP and IPTV performance monitoring applications software in C. This position will give the successful candidate a challenging role in our monitoring applications team, working on sophisticated real time protocol analysis. This is a small, fast moving team environment providing good experience in many aspects of real time application development.
Responsibilities
- Linux/Android system programming, kernel and driver development
- Development of real time multithreaded C applications software on Linux, BSD and Windows platforms
- Development of algorithms for efficient analysis of real time protocols
- Participation in overall design activities
Required Education, Training or Equivalent
- BS Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Required Experience
- 3+ years real time embedded C development
- 2+ years Linux system programming and kernel/driver development
- 1+ years experience in communication protocol implementation or protocol analysis
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent C programming skills
- Strong experience with multithreaded application design
- Extensive experience with Linux systems and system programming
- Strong interest in real time application development
- Confident, knowledgeable, quick to learn new skills
- Good interpersonal skill
- Familiar with networking and telecom

Senior Engineer/ Manager - Software Quality Assurance
Telchemy's product range from real time embedded software to leading edge network management applications. We are expanding our software quality assurance team to ensure that our standards of quality and reliability are maintained and improved, and are looking for an experience senior software test engineer to take a leading role.
Responsibilities
- Management of test lab and testing activities
- Definition of test plans and test methodologies, product verification, regression and performance testing
- Development of test automation tools, test harnesses and frameworks
- Product defect tracking
- Development and management of long term testbed
Required Education, Training or Equivalent
- BS in Computer Science OR
- BS Mathematics, Physics or Electrical Engineering and MS Computer Science
Required Experience
- 5+ years experience in software test/QA for equivalent products
- 2+ years experience in a lead role within a test organization
- 2+ years of C and Java programming
- 2+ years of Linux and Windows system administration/ programming
- 1+ year of TCL and Perl/Expect automation scripting
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Confident, knowledgeable, quick to learn new skills
- Good interpersonal skill
- Capable to handle multi-tasking
- Experienced with bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira)
- Familiarity with JUnit
- Familiarity with network and routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Diffserv
- Familiarity with network management/ application protocols: SNMP, NTP, SSH, FTP, Telnet, LDAP, HTTP, XMPP, IMS, Multicast
- Familiar with common VoIP and networking protocols: RTP/RTCP, SIP, TCP, SNMP
- Familiarity with video, MPEG Transport,DVB would be useful
