Embedded Software Solutions

VQmon/EP is the industry-leading embedded performance analysis agent for IP phones and VoIP gateways, and is integrated into products available from a wide range of equipment vendors. Endpoints equipped with VQmon/EP provide real-time computation of call quality and a wide range of performance metrics, including RTCP XR reports. Reports can be provided at the end of each call or periodically throughout calls.

VQmon/SA provides non-intrusive monitoring and sophisticated real-time performance analysis for a variety of mid-stream devices such as routers, analyzers, and probes, including Telchemy's SQprobe and Voyager.

Turnkey Solutions for Performance Monitoring and Testing

Telchemy's OEM products work seamlessly with VQmon-enabled endpoint equipment and provide powerful, scalable solutions for ongoing performance monitoring, SLA monitoring, and advanced problem diagnosis.

SQprobe and Voyager non-intrusively monitor all VoIP calls placed between enterprise main office and branch/teleworker sites, providing real-time calculated quality scores (MOS and R-factor) and an extensive set of rich diagnostic data via both SNMP and Web user interfaces. When used together with VQmon-enabled IP phones and gateways, both SQprobe and Voyager intercept RTCP XR endpoint reports and correlate them automatically with performance metrics gathered by directly monitoring the packet stream, creating a coherent view of overall call quality and network performance. Both SQprobe and Voyager provide alert notification of threshold conditions and can be integrated with existing NMS/OSS applications using their included SNMP agent.

DVQattest is a distributed active test application for pre-deployment testing, SLA monitoring, and advanced troubleshooting. DVQattest's small, powerful software test agents can be installed on PCs or servers anywhere in the enterprise network, including branch office and teleworker locations. DVQattest Agents can generate hundreds of simultaneous calls simulating a wide range of traffic and VoIP payload types, using integrated VQmon technology to calculate real-time quality and performance metrics and report them to the DVQattest Controller, a cross-platform Java application used for viewing test results and for configuration and management of agents and test parameters. DVQattest provides quality (MOS) scores and extensive performance metrics for each test, as well as expert analysis text diagnoses of any detected problem conditions and a summary of specific degradation factors.

DVQattest can be used in pre-deployment scenarios to provide an accurate view of the network's readiness for VoIP service and the possible impact of deployment on existing network applications and services. After deployment, DVQattest can be used to generate periodic calls for SLA monitoring, or used to quickly isolate and diagnose problems affecting service quality.

SQmediator provides the central data collection, aggregation, and mediation function for the distributed performance management system. SQmediator collects, verifies, and correlates SIP RTCP summary reports and can be extended to support other QoS/QoE protocols. Call quality records for individual calls/user-defined call flows and expert analysis of problem conditions are provided via SQmediator's Web UI, SNMP and Web services interfaces.
