Telchemy Introduces New SQmon Family of VoIP Performance Management Applications

New SQprobe and SQmediator Are Flexible, Real-Time Service Quality Monitoring, Analysis and Mediation Applications for VoIP Equipment Vendors

SUWANEE, Georgia - June 7, 2004 - Telchemy® Incorporated, the global leader in VoIP performance management technology, today announced its new SQmon™ family of software products for end-to-end VoIP service quality monitoring. Building on the strength of its widely deployed VQmon® VoIP call quality monitoring technology, SQmon provides the next step towards Telchemy's long term goal of providing the performance management infrastructure needed to support the growing range of real time applications and services.

SQmon is a family of modular OEM software applications that includes sophisticated probe and mediation/aggregation functions. This provides network equipment and performance management system vendors with a scalable, flexible "leading edge" solution that integrates quickly and easily with both reporting applications and VQmon enabled VoIP endpoints. Initial SQmon product family applications include SQprobe™ and SQmediator™.

SQprobe is an advanced VoIP probe that monitors high speed packet streams, automatically detects and monitors active VoIP calls and produces real-time call quality metrics in the form of call quality records. SQprobe can handle approximately 2,000-5,000 calls on a typical open architecture hardware platform and the product will be available as a software application for selected versions of Linux, Windows and Solaris during the fourth quarter of 2004.

SQmediator is an advanced VoIP call quality correlation and aggregation function designed for use with the SQprobe. SQmediator provides the ability to monitor service across a network, summarize call quality metrics derived from call quality records, generate real time alerts and integrate with SNMP-based reporting applications. SQmediator will be available as a software product for selected versions of Linux, Windows and Solaris during the first quarter of 2005.

"SQmon broadens the range of leading-edge performance management solutions that we can provide to our OEM partners in the VoIP market," said Alan Clark, President and CEO of Telchemy. "With the addition of SQprobe and SQmediator, Telchemy is providing more of the essential management infrastructure for VoIP and delivering a more comprehensive solution to the industry. This, in turn, will contribute to continued growth and reliable operation of VoIP and real-time multimedia services"

Pricing for SQprobe and SQmediator will be set at product availability times and the products will be sold via OEM channels.
