Telchemy's Market Leading Embedded Real Time Analytics Software Adds QUIC and WebRTC Support

Telchemy Releases VQmon 4.2, extends Video Streaming, Videoconferencing and VoIP analytics

Duluth GA, October 31st 2016 - Telchemy, the leading provider of software analytics technology for real time applications and IoT, announced the availability of VQmon 4.2. VQmon analyzes Video Streaming, Videoconferencing, Voice over IP, Data and IPTV, providing accurate and detailed metrics in real time.

The new 4.2 release adds support for the Google® QUIC protocol used on YouTube™ and other services, provides extended support for the DASH video streaming standard and is capable of analyzing unencrypted, encrypted and partially encrypted video streams. VQmon's extensive Voice over IP analysis functionality has been extended to support WebRTC codecs, fast variable rate AMR and Siren.

VQmon is the most widely deployed real time IoT/ embedded analytics technology for IP voice, audio and video systems, with an installed base in excess of 300 million units. It provides accurate QoE metrics using Telchemy's advanced perceptual models, which reflect the impact of time varying impairments on user perceived quality. This provides more accurate and stable metrics to support Service Level Agreements, application performance management, service assurance and troubleshooting.

VQmon is extensively deployed in routers, switches, handsets, gateways, session border controllers, cloud based systems, softphones and chipsets, and has been licensed by most of the leading IP voice and video equipment manufacturers. The technology is highly reliable and benefits from over fourteen years of field deployment in a wide range of networks.

Telchemy has worked with hundreds of equipment manufacturers to integrate VQmon into their products and systems across a broad range of processors and operating systems. VQmon is exceptionally efficient and is able to analyze large volumes of traffic with relatively low computational load.

This advanced embedded analytics technology is protected by seven granted US patents and associated international patents, with additional patent applications pending. These granted patents encompass the QoE analysis of voice, video, audio and data streams with time-varying impairments, the analysis of encrypted video streams and the integration of voice/video QoE monitoring agent technology into mobile handsets and set-top boxes.

Telchemy® is the global leader in Voice and Video over IP performance management technology, embedded analytics and multimedia IoT with its VQmon®, DVQattest®, SQprobe® and SQmediator® families of service quality monitoring and analysis products. Telchemy has led the use of embedded software probe technology and the application of big data and analytics for VoIP performance management, and is positioned to be a leading provider of voice and video performance monitoring technology for the emerging SDN and IoT markets. Founded in 1999, the company has products deployed worldwide and markets its technology both directly and through many leading networking, test and management product companies.
