Telchemy is the established expert in the field of VoIP and IPTV performance management, and many companies within the industry look to Telchemy for both VoIP/IPTV performance analysis technology and technical advice/ expertise.  Telchemy Sales Engineering provides a key point of contact for a wide range of direct customers (network and test equipment vendors) and end users (service providers and major enterprise).  Sales Engineers provide pre-sales support to prospective customers, applications support for established customers and end-users, support RFI/ RFP responses and provide guidance to users of Telchemy technology.

Sales Engineer I:                    

Pre-sales support for prospective customers including product presentations and demonstrations, guidance on product selection and applications, RFI and RFP preparation and management of the product evaluation process.   Provide established customers with advice on product applications and usage, and sales training.  Participate in application level testing of new products.  Participate in development of application notes and case studies.  Participate in trade shows, setup demonstrations, demo products to potential customers. Respond to incoming technical requests for product and applications advice.

Responsibilities

Required Education, Training or Equivalent

1. BS in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering,  OR
2. 4+ working experience in telecom/networking environment

Required Experience

1. Entry level position
2. Good general basic understanding on terminologies in network environment and high level knowledge in  network systems

Required Knowledge and Skills

1. Confident, knowledgeable, quick to learn new skills
2. Good interpersonal skill
3. Capable to handle multi-tasking
4. Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
5. Some familiarity with common Voice and Video over IP protocols: RTP/RTCP, SIP, MGCP, H.323

2. 2+ years in sales engineer in the networking/ telecom industry,   or
3. 3+ years in network management environment  jobs
4. Basic C++/Java programming experience is desired
5. Extensive hands-on experience with Linux and Win2k/XP based systems
6. Familiar with IP/UDP/TCP, RTP/RTCP, SIP, SNMP
