Audiocodes Licenses Telchemy's VQmon

Audiocodes Integrates VQmon/EP Into Voice over Packet Solutions To Provide Service Providers and Enterprises With Improved Levels Of Manageability and Serviceability

SUWANEE, Ga, March 21 - Telchemy,® Incorporated, the global leader in Voice over IP (VoIP) Fault and Performance Management technology, today announced that Audiocodes Ltd, a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and voice network products, has licensed Telchemy's VQmon®/EP (End Point) for direct integration into Audiocodes' market leading media gateway products. The manageability provided by Telchemy's VQmon/EP will enable AudioCodes customers -- service providers and enterprises -- to monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in real-time, ensuring high service quality and availability for next generation services.

"AudioCodes is pleased to partner with Telchemy and integrate their software in our media gateway products," said Eli Nir, Vice President, Research and Development. "By integrating Telchemy's sophisticated technology, we are providing our customers with access to the rich set of VoIP performance and diagnostic data produced by VQmon and the ability to quickly deploy key VoIP performance management protocols such as RTCP XR."

Network operators and system administrators use Telchemy's VQmon technology to detect, monitor and resolve call quality and network related problems for networked multi-media services, including Voice and Video over IP, IP Centrex, 3G Cellular, Voice over WLAN, and streaming audio/video. VQmon provides listening and conversational call quality metrics in both R factor and MOS formats as well as detailed diagnostic information, giving network managers both high level metrics and the ability to drill down to identify specific problems. VQmon is the first VoIP Performance Management software to support the new VoIP management protocols, providing the essential metrics for the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) RFC 3611 (RTCP XR) media path reporting protocol and the QoS reporting protocols for SIP, H.323, MGCP and Megaco.

"Audiocodes, one of the pioneers of today's Voice over IP market, has a wide range of well-established Voice over Packet Solutions," said Alan Clark, President and CEO of Telchemy, Incorporated. "By integrating VQmon into their VoP processors, media gateway modules and media gateways, our partnership will help accelerate the deployment of VoIP service quality management across both the enterprise and service provider markets, thereby increasing overall customer confidence in VoIP quality, and consequently, VoIP services."
