VQmon
pronunciation v’ku’mon, noun. Widely used
technology for measuring the quality of voice and
video over IP. Accurate, reliable, highly efficient.
Deployed in IP phones, gateways, probes, analyzers
and routers
VQmon is
the first and most widely deployed software technology
for non-intrusively monitoring the quality of VoIP
calls and IPTV streams. VQmon has been integrated
into a wide variety of probes, analyzers, IP phones
and Gateways by leading VoIP product manufacturers;
this widespread multi-vendor support gives network
managers access to a family of compatible performance
monitoring, management and diagnostic tools. VQmon
is the first non-intrusive Voice over IP and IPTV

time varying characteristics of IP network impairments,
and model their impact on user perception of call
quality. This provides network managers with an unrivalled
ability to detect and diagnose call quality problems.
Active Testing Technology
DVQattest is a high performance
active test technology able to set up calls using
SIP, generate and receive multiple RTP streams and
measure quality in both directions of transmission.
DVQattest inserts audio payloads into transmitted
voice packets and is hence able to interact with SIP
phones and gateways and with P862 based test tools.
